The Earth's magnetic field shows variations covering a relatively large range in period / frequency. Changes in external source are short and may be on the order of fractions of seconds, while the variation over time and are internally sourced than months. The diurnal variation (Sd) in the equatorial region differs greatly from Similar obtained at different latitudes. The data used in this study were obtained at six sites located at different latitudes and distributed perpendicularly to the equatorial dip (I = 0). One of them is located exactly in Ecuador Magnetic (PID = 0). Of these, 5 (five) stations are magnetic and the other is Tatuoca Magnetic Observatory (TTB), located in the same region. The objective of this study is to compare the records of Diurnal Variation (Sd) obtained in magnetic stations located above and below the equatorial dip (I = 0). Variations in the horizontal (H) and vertical component (Z) of the total geomagnetic field (F) and the corresponding indices characterizing geomagnetic (Ap and Kp) were analyzed.
